Our visiting speech pathologist works with children, adolescent and adults who have difficulty communicating through speech and language, or those who have trouble eating and drinking safely.

Benefits include:

  • Improvement in verbal communication
  • Help for difficulties with swallowing

Appointments are available to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. All appointments require a referral from your GP.

Our visiting maternal and child health services are provided by local councils through maternal child health nurses. The services include child health monitoring, parent support, early identification of health and development concerns, health promotion and education.

Benefits include:

  • Support for children’s health
  • Education for health and development concerns

This service is provided by the Casey Cardinia Council and Greater City of Dandenong and is available to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with young children.

Our visiting diabetes nurse educator specialises in providing self-management education for people with diabetes.

Benefits include:

  • Information about what and when to eat, when to take medicine, how to check blood sugar, what to do for high or low sugars, and how to take care of your feet

This is a visiting Allied Health Service and appointments are available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. All appointments require a referral from your GP.

Our visiting dietician specialises in food and nutrition. They help promote general wellbeing through healthy eating and exercise.

Benefits include:

  • Improved health and fitness
  • Improved diet through more nutritional food

This is a visiting Allied Health Service and appointments are available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. All appointments require a referral from your GP.

Our visiting optometrist provides primary eye and vision care. They perform eye examinations and provide lenses to correct any problems with vision.

Benefits include:

  • Access to eye and vision care
  • Corrective lenses for vision problems

The optometry service is provided by the Royal College of Optometry to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients of all age groups.

Our visiting paediatricians provide medical care to infants, children and adolescents from birth up to the age of 21 years. They can also help to manage the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of their patients.

Benefits include:

  • Specialist medical care for babies, children and adolescents
  • Support for general wellbeing

Appointments are available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents concerned with the health and wellbeing of their children. All appointments require a referral from your GP.

Our visiting Home Medication Review Pharmacist offers medication reviews in client homes and at the Bunurong Health Service.

Benefits include:

  • Medication review post discharge from hospital
  • Diabetes and asthma medication reviews
  • Medication review for chronic care clients
  • Education and support for correct/safe use of medication devices

The HMR service is available to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. All appointments require a referral from your GP.

Our visiting Endocrinologist is a Specialist who offers assessment and management for various chronic diseases.

Benefits include:

  • Specialised assessment for Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Thyroid, Adrenal, Hormone and Pituitary disorders
  • Education and management for improvement health

The Endocrinology service is available to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. All appointments require a referral from your GP.
